Allyson Ingerman Less than 30 Days to save the Rain Forest (#29)

I'm on Twitter. Usually a fair bit, even if I'm not posting. I use it research, connect, communicate and educate myself (sometimes I even use it to get my daily news).

Today I saw an interesting tweet regarding a group called 300 Acres
.
Their goal? Save 300 acres of Ecuadorian Rain Forest in less than 30 day by raising $70k.

Jamie Inman Latest news from Haiti 3/7

Hi all, It has been hard to get communication out to you. It is a very good trip, not to mention the weather is cool. NICE. Eion and Wes are the best for traveling with and we are having a great time connecting. They came to Pastor Berthony's church today. I got them both up in the pulpit for a few minutes each. Yes, I got a picture. They are humble and caring people, and we are all having an incredible experience. My main focus is to getting the children moved on the land and Josue is very sup… Continue

live from Haiti...Doing well considering all the Haitians have been through. Port-a-Prince in some ways looks better than it has for a very long time. there are crews everywhere cleaning up trash and rubble. Way to much happening to write about. I am finishing up shelter logistics for the teams coming in. i believe we can have shelter for all our orphans and others within 30 days. Very needed since the rains are beginning. Eion Bailey Mission: Haiti

The Situation:

In the past months since Imagine This! has been working with you on episode ideas, we’ve had a lot of great ones. Of the top member supported ideas, a unique opportunity has presented itself and is looking more and more likely to be the episode we move on first. Now, in fact.

We are looking at a case of adversity transformed into opportunity; for us and for

Jamie Inman Haiti, breast cancer, and not-so-silly-Twitter

My little country church has partnered with an orphanage in Haiti since
2005. It was a constant struggle to raise funds for these dear people.
We built the security wall and started two buildings. Then through my
breast cancer networking on Twitter I learned of a proposed TV show
called Imagine This TV (imagine that!). Another Twitter friend hooked
the producers up with my Pastor, and they took on our project.
THEN when the earthquake hit, people from everywhere, in… Continue

Allyson Ingerman Around the Web: 'GlobalOneness' (#27)

An interesting search this morning lead me to a Film Networking site called FilmNet. There I found a video from GlobalOneness that showcased an older Hispanic woman working to bring peace to some of the most violence ridden neighborhoods in Ecuador.

Enjoy.

The Global Oneness Project is exploring how the radically

Eion Bailey To: Imagine This! From: Eion Bailey

Okay, so here’s the thing…

A lot of you have high hopes for the Imagine This! project, and no one on our team wants to let you down. Ever.

But frankly, sometimes things just get in the way.

Agents sometimes lie in order to make more money and sometimes, just sometimes, actors are too lazy to read an entire contract (hmmm, who could that… Continue

While the website is fantastic, the concept is even better. This 2nd annual event brings local growers and chefs together for a fantastic event of… Continue

Jamie Inman “Into Haiti” update Jan 30th from Don Skow

I was amazed to learn most people in Port-a-Prince did not know what had happened when the earthquake hit. They had nothing to relate it to. Even well educated locals had no idea what they had just experienced. It took hours for many to learn they had just gone through a major earthquake. Josue said he was walking home when it hit. Everything around him crumbled. When he got to his home he found his wife holding their child, in shock, just standing in the doorway of their house, which was leanin… Continue
